A misplaced GTI on a Subaru lot. This special-edition GTI Driver’s Edition was traded in for a WRX and spent weeks being mistaken for a new Subaru by curious shoppers. I showed up just before closing, asked to test drive the GTI, and the dealer practically begged me to take it home.
Favorite Feature
I love that it feels special every time I drive it. The unique details and subtle touches that came with the Driver’s Edition make it stand out without being over the top. It’s practical enough for everyday use, fun on a back road, and still puts a smile on my face every time I get behind the wheel.
Best memory
One of my favorite memories was getting stuck in traffic on I-84 behind a BMW. I flashed my hazards to say hello, and to my surprise, the driver responded. When traffic finally cleared, we spent the next few miles taking turns leading the way and enjoying the open road together. It was one of those spontaneous enthusiast moments you can’t plan.
